Manchester United Vs Everton | Attendance 75,522

Well with Everton's captain being ex Man U player Phil Neville, and United's star being an ex Evertonian in Wayne Rooney, this game was always going to be an interesting one.

Manchester United were expecting to rack up 3 points and fend off any pressure from City so when the now prolific Jelavic headered an opener on 33 minutes the Old Trafford faithful must have thought it was gonna be a difficult day it wasn't long until a pounding header from Rooney made it 1-1 on 41 minutes and the turnaround was on.

Danny Welbeck's 57th minute curling effort into the top corner from the edge of the area was the pick of the goals and when Nani put in a neat finish on 60 minutes after good interplay with Welbeck made it 3-1 and it looked to be a day to forget for Everton, on 67 minutes it was game back on however as Fellaini smashed one into the bottom corner for 3-2 but Rooney tucked one in the bottom corner 2 minutes later and wasn't going to have his party spoiled and at 4-2 it looked like Man U would grind out the result and keep their status as favourites for the title.

Jelavic however was clearly thinking what Rooney can do he can do better tucking another goal into the bottom left corner in the 83rd minute for 4-3 but surely Fergie time would disappear as Man U didn't need the time for another goal, but 85 minutes was enough when some great play from Fellaini played in Pienaar with the equaliser, Everton parked the bus and a sublime effort from the blues meant final score MANCHESTER UNITED 4, EVERTON 4

Liverpool Vs West Brom | Attendance 43,660

West Brom were looking for their first win at Anfield since 1967, and to keep it brief Liverpool had 28 shots on goal to West Brom's 9 but just couldn't get a goal and on 75 minutes Peter Odemwingie tucked a goal into the bottom corner when Glen Johnson seemed to get himself confused when up against Mulumbu, story of Liverpool's season rein acted again for LIVERPOOL 0, WEST BROM 1

Wolves Vs Manchester City | Attendance 43,660

A loss at home today would see Wolves relegated and see Manchester City keep the pressure on neighbours United at the top.

Wolves put up a valiant effort and their fans certainly never let them down either still singing and there til the end a credit to modern day football.

Sergio Aguero broke down the Wolves defence on 27 minutes when Clichy played him in to tuck the ball into the bottom corner for 1-0.

Hard work from Carlos Tevez played in Samir Nasri to confirm the points go home to Eastlands and means that if City win the derby on the 30th they will go top with 2 games to play, maybe title number 20 is not definitely in the bag for United after all.

Aston Villa Vs Sunderland | Attendance 32,557

Aston Villa were another team looking to ease their worries with a home win, but they remain firmly in the relegation dogfight at the bottom of the table on Martin O'Neill's return to Villa Park.

The fans would have arrived with fingers crossed hoping for a win rather than expecting one having only seen one home win since November, and started well Mignolet having to deny Weiman.

Sunderland looked to turn the key however with Nicklas Bendtner missing a handful of chances before hitting the back of the net, only for the assistance referee to rule it out for offside.

Craig Gardner was dismissed against his old side, but other than that the game really wasn't one worth talking about final score ASTON VILLA 0 , SUNDERLAND

Arsenal Vs Chelsea | Attendance 60,111

Arsenal and Chelsea both had aspirations of Champions League football next season coming into this game, but after it neither are guaranteed anything of the sort as neither could secure the win.

Chelsea fielded an "under strength" side with the virtually unheard of Fernando Torres leading the line (tongue firmly in cheek), the £50m man failed to find the net as did the usually prolific Robin Van Persie who's short baron run continues.

A poor first half saw only 4 chances two of which for Chelsea that Koscielny cleared off the line, Van Persie dropped his shoulder to lose his marker only for his volley to hit the outside of the post and Koscielny himself after goal stopping heroics saw a header go out off of the crossbar.

The only real talking points as the second half started were the loss of Walcott and Rosicky due to injury and Walcott has been confirmed as out for the rest of the campaign, likely to be an issue for England for Euro 2012 this summer. Overall the game was overwhelmingly underwhelming final score ARSENAL 0 , CHELSEA 0.

Arsenal Vs Wigan | Attendance 60,060

Wigan came into this one on the back of a win against Manchester United and looked full of confidence as they came straight out of the blocks in this fixture at the Emirates, as Di Santo put a way an effort inside the 6 yard box in the 7th minute only for Jordi Gomez to find himself in an equally favourable position around 1 minute later to make it 2-0 inside 8 minutes and that gave Wigan a lead to defend and Arsenal with it all to do.

There was obviously something in the stars with Caroll having got 2 in 2 for Liverpool somehow affecting the usually prolific Van Persie who couldn't come to Arsenal's rescue this time.

Vermaelen managed to to find the net with a well directed header on 21 minutes but Wigan claimed their second upset in 2 games leaving them 5 points clear of the relegation zone in with 4 games to go final score Arsenal 1, Wigan 2.

*** FA CUP - Semi Final *** Tottenham Hotspurs Vs Chelsea | Wembley Attendance 85,731

Certain issues within this game raised eye brows like how two LONDON clubs playing in yes you guessed it London sold over 2000 less tickets than the Merseyside derby the day before and the apparent pre meditated boycott of the minutes silence by a minority of Chelsea fans who are clearly Chelsea fans before they are football fans, and fans before they are humans, but that's another subject.

In terms of the football the game also had it's fair share of controversy however Drogba's stunning effort in to the top left hand corner in the 43rd minute opened the scoring and it looked like being a tight one with the 1st half coming to a rapid end, after the break a goal mouth scramble where to the naked eye the ball was a country mile from crossing the line but the goal was awarded as a 49th minute goal for Mata to make it 2-0.

Gareth Bale's 56th minute strike from close range made it 2-1 and Spurs fans must have been thinking there could be a dream comeback on the cards, this goal was not without controversy as Bale seemed like he could be in an offside position but in the build up Cech seemed to wipe out Adebayor so the goal being ruled as offside could well have meant a penalty and red card for the keeper.

Hopes of a comeback were fast dashed though when Juan Mata set up Ramires to fire in to the middle of the goal and Lampard sent a free kick swerving in from distance for the 3rd and 4th goals and the already under attended game was seeing more empty seats appear as Spurs fans made for an early exit to Wembley Park underground station to avoid the crowds, those that did go early only missed their defeat becoming more and more humiliating as Florent Malouda made it 5-1 in the 90th minute. Final score Tottenham 1 , Chelsea 5.

The final will be played at 17:15 on 5th of May as Liverpool play Chelsea.

Manchester United Vs Aston Villa | 75,138

Having seen Manchester City flatten Norwich the day before Sir Alex Ferguson and his men knew that nothing other than 3 points could release some pressure at Old Trafford. United got the breakthrough they needed when in the 5th minute Ashley Young took what was described by Fergie as a "dramatic fall" for the second time in 2 games and won a penalty that was professionally stuck away by Rooney for 1-0.

Danny Welbeck made it 2-0 finishing at the back post on 43 minutes so at least Villa couldn't say the controversial decision was the only factor contributing to their down fall which was mainly Rooney as he made it 3 in the 73rd minute from deep inside the penalty area before Nani scored a similar goal in the 90th minute to make the final score Manchester United 4, Aston Villa 0 and keep Man U up there as "champions elect".

*** FA CUP - Semi Final *** Liverpool Vs Everton Wembley Attendance 87,231

With Liverpool not in the best form this season and Everton on a decent run, the neutrals tip was that Everton would make the blue side of Liverpool proud by turning over the reds.

The game was always going to be a cagey affair with the end prize being a place in next months FA Cup final back at Wembley, I was at the game myself and it certainly did start slow with both teams trying to dismantle each other's defensive lines.

An early effort from Jay Spearing went agonisingly over the bar and there was the odd half chance for both teams but the first real chance came when a defensive mix up for Liverpool was pounced on by Jelavic who is not only becoming a fan favourite but fast becoming a prolific striker. Liverpool fans were anxious when the 24th minute goal went in as Moyes' Everton have a good reputation for grinding out 1-0 wins and Liverpool have had trouble converting chances this season.

This was however an FA Cup semi final AND a Merseyside derby surely the drama couldn't end there and when Andy Caroll was given a peach of a ball on his head from a Downing cross surely this was 1-1 but the big Geordie saw it bounce agonisingly wide.

It was another defensive mistake that finally brought the breakthrough for the reds when Distin under-weighted a pass back to Tim Howard in the Everton goal, which was promptly pounced on by the rapid Suarez who then cooly finished low into the goal on the outside of his right foot, and take it from me that the East Stand went crazy at the sight of the ball hitting the back of the net on 62 minutes.

From then on the pressure was building and the Liverpool fans must have felt that they could suck in a winner as they often do when on the Kop, Maxi Rodriguez came close and Andy Caroll seemed to have had a hat full of chances saved or closed down but in the 85th minute when Gerrard was trying to make head way down the left wing and was brought down, the stage was set!

Andy Caroll got higher than anyone else to direct Craig Bellamy's cross with the back of his head and into the back of the net to send Anfield South into uproar once more and send Liverpool into the FA Cup final for the first time in 6 years. Final score at Wembley Liverpool 2 , Everton 1

Norwich City vs Manchester City | Attendance 26,812

Although it looks like Manchester United will close in on a 20th league title imminently Mancini's City wanted to show they will still keep the pressure on by closing the gap to 2 points, but so far Carrow Road has been somewhat of a fortress for Norwich in this current campaign. In theory this looked far from easy, but in practice it was very easy.

Norwich are cemented in mid table so it was mainly their pride affected when efforts from Tevez on 18 minutes put them 1 up with a curling effort before setting up his countryman Aguero for a simple finish on 27 minutes. But the build up was anything but with a nice one-two in suing between the two Argentinians culminating in a back heel flick from Tevez to set up Aguero.

Surman gave Norwich a glimmer of hope making it 1-2 but Tevez scored again on 73 and Aguero determined to win Argie player of the day scored a great solo goal on 75 to put an end to any chance of a comeback, but the scoring wasn't finished there Tevez put in a pounding header on 80 minutes before Adam Johnson completed the rout on 90, with Aguero being denied a hat trick of his own by the post late on, all in all it was an absolute walkover final score Norwich 1 , Man City 6.

Sunderland Vs Wolves | Attendance 37,476

With Wolves keen to end a run of 7 straight defeats they made sure this game wasn't the home banker that Sunderland clearly thought it would be judging by a casual approach to the game, the were certain periods of pressure from the black cats but largely they were uninventive the pick of the chances coming in the dying minutes of the game when Craig Gardner's cross was met by a McClean diving header that Hennessey managed to keep out with his legs. Final score   Sunderland 0 , Wolves 0
